I am an assistant professor of political science and public administration at Georgia College. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Florida where I studied American political institutions, public administration, and research methods. My research has been published in Social Science Quarterly and American Review of Politics.
I currently teach undergraduate courses in American politics to include the presidency, Congress, and southern politics. I teach quantitative techniques and public budgeting at the graduate level (MPA).
Prior to a career in academia, I served in the United States Navy (1998-2006), mostly on the U.S.S. Kentucky (SSBN 737 BLUE), and drove over the road for Schneider National, Inc. (2006-2007).
